Amongst Others

I located the "Barge Inn" just where the guard had stated it would be.  The establishment seemed sort of run down and a little shabby.  It was filled with Furgar, Bastog, Elves and Men.  Only a few even looked up to glance at me as I walked in.  There was a jovial and rather rotund Furgar male behind the bar.  "Welcome to the Barge Inn!  The name's Happypaw.  Most just call me happy.  What can I get for ya, stranger?"

He was very welcoming and his voice was pleasant on the ears.  "I need a room for the night to start with."  I wasn't quite certain how I was going to pay for said room.  Perhaps I could barter with him.

"The cost is 10 copper a night."  Happy stated with a gentle smile.

"Okay.  Well, I'm don't really have any coins of this place.  I have traveled here from the Furgar Village.  I do have a few items that perhaps I could barter with."  My voice shook a little as I realized that I may not have what it would take to rent the room.

"You seem in rough shape.  I used to have a Furgar trader who would stay here when he was picking up items for the village and bartering off items from your people.  He would sometimes bring me small trinkets in exchange for room and board.  What was his name?  He said he was married to a Bastog..."  Happy rubbed his chin in contemplation.  "If I could remember his name, maybe you know him...  Hmm... I think his mate was named "Rose".  Well, anyway, what have you got to trade?"

I searched in my pack.  I found my old ossiette which was carved from the long bone of an elk with an intricate scene depicting the group of adventurers that brought the twin tribe back together all those years ago.  "I have this hand carved flute I can offer."

"A Furgar ossiette!  I used to play one of those."  Happy took it into his paws.  "This is beautifully carved.  I know this would be worth more than 10 copper pieces.  I will accept this trinket as payment.  I'm happy to give you room and board for three nights on this payment.  You can have the room at the top of the stairs just to the left.  You will find a bed, wash basin and a small nightstand.  Breakfast is served at dawn.  If you need anything, just let me know.  And welcome to the city!"  He slid a key across the bar to me.

"Thank you, Happy.  For now I'm going to go settle myself in.  Then perhaps I could find some food?"  I smiled coyly.

"I will bring something up to your room."  He smiled and turned around and moved toward a door in the rear.

I wandered up to my room, and used the small brass key on the flimsy lock.  That wouldn't really hold anyone out.  Good thing I didn't have anything too precious.  I sat down on the bed.  It wasn't super cozy, but at least it wasn't the ground.  I unrolled by bedroll on top of it to make it a little softer.  It didn't help much, but every little bit I could get at that point.

Shortly, there was a knock on the door.  "Come in," I announced.

Happy walked in with a tray of food.  It looked alright, but nothing special.  There as a glass of water on the tray as well.  "I know it's not much, but it will fill ya up for sure.  See you around dawn!"

"Thanks again, for everything."  I smiled and took the tray.  I placed it on the nightstand as Happy exited the room and shut the door.  I ate and then settled myself down on my bed.  Sleep came quickly, and dreams filled my mind.

The first thing I dreamed was of being back home, with Aunt Morning Glory cooking a lovely meal and reminiscing about the old days.  I already missed her.  She was wonderful.  Took care of me when she could.  She was much like a second mother.

The next dream that came was not as pleasant.  I was surrounded by skeletons, and there were necromancers chanting and casting spells.  I had somehow summoned a bubble shield around myself to protect me, but I felt it was failing and I would surely succumb to the dark spectre.  I gathered all of my strength and pushed the energy out as hard as I could in all directions.  The skeletons shattered and the necromancers fell over.  There was a loud "BANG" as the bubble burst, and I woke with a start.

"Get up you drunken fool!" someone outside of my door shouted.  Then I heard scraping on the door as if someone was being picked up using my door as a crutch.  They must have been wearing armor.  I heard them stumble down the hall.  It took me some time to fall back to sleep.  All I could think about was how poor that lock on my door was.

Sleep did find me again.  The dreams for the rest of the night were much more pleasing.  The last one was even a flying dream.  I dreamed I had wings, granted by the Fur Lord himself.  I flew over the most beautiful vistas.  The sky was so blue and there was not a cloud in sight.  Then, the sun came directly into my view.  It grew obnoxiously bright.  I woke only to find that dawn had broken and the light was shining on me through a small window near the roof in my room.  Had the night really gone by that quickly?  Well, only one thing to do.  Get up, get breakfast then check out the city.

Parting Is Such Sweet Sorrow

Morning came and I woke.  I felt much better now that I had rested.  I was ready to face the new day.  Fuzzy was already up making something to eat for us.  I was very hungry.  I felt like I hadn't ate in days.  Maybe a side effect?  Who knew?  The fight had really drained me on many levels.  I was certain I'd be back to normal in a few days.

"I don't know a whole lot about magic, however I understand that spell casting can be draining on you."  Fuzzy noted.  "You will need to practice I to be able to build up stamina to be able to do things like you did last night without passing out.  Once you get to the city, you should also try to find someone who can tutor you in the arts.  That would be easier than trying to learn it alone."

"I'm sure I will be able to find someone to teach me.  Right after I find a place to stay." I chuckled.  We packed up and set out for another day of sojourn.  Wandering across the plains was mostly pleasant.  The sounds of insects, the smells of the wild flowers and the colors everywhere.

We passed the hours with menial conversation about whatever happened to come to mind.  Fuzzy explained how he would never settle down.  He was a wanderlust, and never wanted to be tied down to any one thing, place or person.  It was a bit much for me, honestly.  This trek was enough of a journey   I wasn't sure I'd ever want to wander again.  I was pretty sure once I got to the city, I would stay there, come hell or high water.  I was starting to feel like this is what my father would have had to have experienced to trade between  men and the tribe.  He would have had to take a journey like this several times.  I was glad that I had not chosen to follow in his footsteps so to speak.

Hour after hour drudged along and the sun sailed across the sky like a glimmering boat on a bluest ocean.  The occasional cloud would drift by with every intention of breaking up the azure hue.  Eventually the golden disk became tired and rested itself on the horizon.  It was about that time that a set of large gates came into view.  This must be it!  The city of men!

"This is where I must part."  Fuzzy said, soulfully.  "I am not really welcome in the cities of men anymore.  And before you ask, no I'm not really interested in talking about what happened either."

"Then I guess this is good-bye."  I felt rather upset even though we hadn't really known each other all that long.  But even I knew, no one can tie down a wanderlust.

"Well, for now anyway.  Perhaps our paths may cross again.  You never know."  He smiled.  He hugged me hard and gave me a parting kiss.  I hoped that one day we would meet again.  He then turned and wandered off.  I watched him until I could no longer see him walking off into the distance.  Night had crashed down upon me.  Nothing left to do but get to the city.

So I made my way to the gates.  At this time of night, they were closed and there was a guard on either side.  As I approached, one spoke.  "State your business, dog."

I wasn't quite sure what to say.  "Well, I've been wandering for several days and I would like to stay at the inn."

"Great, just what this city needs, another mongrel." The second guard scoffed.

"That's enough, Rutter.  You can disrespect people when you are off duty.  While you wear that uniform, you are to keep your personal opinions, personal."  The first guard sound very stern.

"Yes, Lieutenant "  Guard Rutter replied.

"The inn is just inside and up the street.  You will need to stick to the foreign quarter for now.  You can see the city registrar in the morning if you need access to any other place in the city."  The Lieutenant wasn't overly friendly, but at least he didn't make any comments.

This was going to be interesting.  If a guard felt so free to state his detest of me so openly, how would others in the city react?  I started to get a small twinge of regret for leaving the village.  Well, I was here now so not much else to do.  The gates were opened and I entered the city of men for the first time.

Can Dead Men Die?

I wasn't ready for this.  One zombie taken out by a clean shot from another's bow was one thing.  Having to fight using some strange ability that I didn't know I had and not being sure if it will even work when I needed it to was another.  I could feel myself shaking.  What if when I needed that ability the most, it failed to work? Fuzzy wasn't going to be able to do it all if things got too heavy.  Only time would tell.

Then there was the sound of rattling.  As if the wind blowing a chime made of bones.  The problem: there was no wind.  Not even a small breeze.  What was causing the chimes?  Then the another added to the chorus, and another.  Slowly becoming a cacophony .  Fuzzy knocked an arrow.  Then I saw them.  Skeletons.  Animated human remains.  A chill ran down my spine.  How does one kill a skeleton?  A zombie, sure.  Destroy the brain and the body stops working but there is no brain to destroy this time.  Four rattling, walking corpses shambling toward us.  Each carried a weapon.  Two of them had swords, one had a mace and the other a staff.  Wonderful.  So not only walking piles of bones, but armored walking piles of bones.  Their eyes glowed with a pale green light.

"There is a gem in their eye sockets.  Knock those gems out and the skeleton will loose it's animating magic."   Fuzzy said.  Then he loosed an arrow and caught the skull of one of the sword carrying skeletons.  It's skull rolled off and onto the ground.  Two faintly glowing crystals dropped out of it's eyes and the body crumpled.  The gems lost their glow quickly.  I felt a little emboldened.  It was possible for dead men to die again.

A robed person stepped out behind the skeletons, followed by two others.  These must be the necromancers.  The skeletons hastened.  I readied my dagger.  Fuzzy loosed another arrow.  This one hit the other skeleton with a sword, but only knocked off a few ribs.  It didn't seem to be bothered.  Suddenly a bolt of blue light came hurdling toward me.  It hit me and I felt the most intense cold I have ever felt.  It was like a thousand daggers being stuck into me at once.  It was so cold that it burned.  I fell over from the intense pain.  After a few seconds, the intense cold went away, however some pain still remained.  I looked over at Fuzzy just as he was hit by purple bolts of energy.  He winced in pain, but still managed to loose another arrow.  This one scored one of the necromancers in the shoulder.  She screamed in pain.

Then the skeletons were upon us.  Fuzzy drew the swords he carried and attacked one of the two skeletons that were on him.  I was cracked in the rib cage by a blunt object bringing my attention back to the skeleton who had come after me.  That staff hurt!  I stabbed at it's skull with my dagger.  By some great luck (or by some help from the Furlord), I plucked out one of the gems in the eye socket.  The skeleton staggered a little.  This gave me the few seconds I needed to pluck out the other one.  Poking my dagger into the other socket, I pulled forth the other gem.  The skeleton dropped as did the emerald.  Then I felt my energy being drained.  One of the Necromancers was casting something on me.  I felt terror.  True terror.  Then I felt something start in my gut.  Words came from my mouth and my fingers pointed forward.  Fire burst forth from my hands and hit the necromancer square.  His robes caught on fire and he started to burn.  I could hear him screaming as he dropped to the ground.  One of the other Necromancers went running to his aid, but it was too late.  The stench of burnt flesh and hair filled the air.  I looked over at Fuzzy whom had taken care of the two skeletons and was focused on the female Necromancer.

He was in melee range, swinging his swords.  Then he cleaved her head clean off her shoulders.  It rolled into the charred remains of her companion.  The last necromancer took a few steps back and did a quick survey of the surroundings.  He obviously decided it wasn't worth dying here.  He turned and ran.  I was exhausted. I couldn't even stand.  Then, I passed out.

I woke to water being poured in my face.  "This is no time to sleep.  We can't stay here.  We need to get out of this village before more come.  Here, put this on."  Fuzzy handed me a robe he took off of the female.  "It won't be a perfect fit, but it's better than nothing.  And take the staff too.  That may come in handy.  You can use it to walk with for now."

I gathered myself and dusted myself off.  I put on the robe, which wasn't flattering at all.  There was a small hole in the shoulder where the arrow had pierced it and there was noticeable blood stains.  I picked up the staff and used it to support me while I attempted to walk in my weakened state.  We made our way out of the village.

We walked as far as my legs would take me.  They did eventually give out and I told Fuzzy I had to stop.  We made camp, ate and I went right to sleep.  This was becoming quite the adventure already.

Further Down The Road

The next morning arrived despite my wishes for the night to never end.  We ate and packed up camp.  Moving on into the morning's sweetness, I watched Fuzzy's back side.  The swish of his tail, back and forth, was mesmerizing.  What a magnificent creature he was.  The color of a majestic lion with the stripes of a tiger.  Not dark stripes mind you, but a dusty gold color.  His gate was silent.  Truly a hunter's stride.  His prey would never hear him coming.  I noticed that he started strutting a bit.  He must have noticed me watching and admiring him.  I admit I was a little embarrassed at being caught.

I sheepishly moved to start walking beside him.  "So it looks like it's going to be a beautiful day."  I said trying to break the silence.

"That it is," he replied.  A grin spread across his face that could only be described as mischievous.

"So, have you had many dealings with humans in your travels?"  I asked trying to keep the conversation going.

"I cross paths with them from time to time.  Most of the ones I meet end up wearing their own blood.  Bandits will attack anyone.  You are just lucky I found you before a group of them did."  He seemed proud of himself.

"Yeah, I guess I didn't realize what I was getting myself into when I left the village to make my way to the Kingdom of the Six Cities."  I felt like such an ignorant pup.  I truly hadn't thought about the dangers.  I really was lucky that Fuzzy found me.

"Hmm, I seem to remember something about having to wear clothes in the human cities.  You should probably find something to wear before you make it there.  Humans are very modest.  Even fur isn't enough covering for them.  I don't mind seeing you in just your fur suit, but men get all uncomfortable and awkward."  Fuzzy grinned.  I was starting to think that he knew more about men than he was letting on.

"That seems so odd to me.  I can understand humans covering their furless, bald shame, but wanting us covered too?"  Then I remembered my father would sometimes put on a robe when he was going to deal with humans.  I had thought before I was ceremonial.  It appears to have been more.

"Thankfully for me, my armor covers that which men fear to see.  They seem to fear anything that brings true pleasure."  he mused.  We both went silent and I pondered that.  I got lost in thought as we walked.  The sun was getting heavy and drooping down on the horizon.  The day was moving to a close.

Suddenly there was a foul scent in the air.  Rotten flesh.  "Oh no!" I said.  "More zombies!"

"Worse," Fuzzy responded pulling his bow off of his shoulder.  "Necromancers."

"What's a necromancer?"  I asked

"Mages who deal in death magic.  They study the forbidden arts.  They are the ones who raise zombies and animate skeletons to do their bidding.  They also have an arsenal of nasty spells that can do everything from draining one's life force to out right slaying with a word.  You may need to be ready to defend yourself."  He handed me a dagger.

"I will do my best, but I only have very basic fighting knowledge.  A pup could probably beat me in a fight."  I laughed nervously.

"You had better hope your instincts take over then."  He didn't appear to be joking.  Then a small village came into sight just as the sun set.  The pale moon hovered ominously over the large building at the edge of the square.  "Ready yourself Dusk."  Fuzzy knocked an arrow and we walked slowly down the road toward the village.  It was quiet and there was a stench of decay.

The stinking breeze attacked my olfactory senses causing my eyes to water.  I started choking on the heavy air.  Then something came over me.  I said something that even I didn't understand and thrust my arm forward.  The air cleared and it became easier to breathe.  "You're a mage?"  Fuzzy puzzled.

"Not that I was aware of."  I was even more shocked than he was at what had just happened.

"Well you just cast a spell.  When things get heavy, let yourself go.  You seem to have some innate ability there.  That will help when you need to fight."  Fuzzy trusted me more than I trusted myself.

Danger On The Road

So I set off again on my journey.  Yeah, I would hold those memories for a while.  That was quite a night.  I wondered if I would ever find myself back this way again.  Probably not.  Also, the world probably wasn't ready for the Ursos anyway.  I continued to wander down the path, although the path seemed to be fading.  It started blending in with the field I was walking into.  The Furlord most likely set it up for the path to disappear to keep people from accidentally stumbling upon his experiment.  If that was the case however, it didn't work to well as I seemed to find my way there.  Or was I meant to?  Was I lead there?  Was it all part of some strange experiment by the Furlord to see how the Ursos interact with others?  Or perhaps how others interacted with them.  Who knew.  I started to sing to myself as I walked through the filed of waist high grass.

As I walked, I realized that the only sound in the area other than a small breeze was my singing.  No birds, no bugs, no wildlife at all.  That was odd.  There is always something.  There are always birds singing, or bugs buzzing or some small animal scurrying.  I lowered my singing and listened as I walked.  I also slowed my pace.  Then I stopped both activities all together.  Something caught my eye.  Something moved the grass, but there was no sound.  It was a short distance away.  I looked hard and sniffed the air.  A foul stench grasped my nose with an overpowering punch.  It was as rotted flesh.  I knew that couldn't be good.  Then the grass moved again, only this time it was accompanied by a rustling sound.  I was frozen.  Not sure if I should run or stand.  I just sat and watched that spot.  The evil smell accosted my olfactory system.

It was getting stronger and started moving toward me.  Then it stood up out of the grass.  It was a reanimated corpse!  I tried to run but I was frozen by fear.  My muscles just wouldn't move.  I tried again and again to tell my feet to take flight.  I even tried to scream but no sound came out.  The zombie just lumbered toward me, intent on a meal.  It would get me for sure and there was nothing I could do.  Why wouldn't my legs just work!  I didn't want to be zombie chow!

Then, out of no where, there was a whizzing sound and a breeze that flew right by my ear.  The next thing I knew, there was an arrow sticking out of the zombie's head, right between it's eyes.  Then another appeared in it's chest and finally one more in the zombie's throat.  It fell over with a sicking squish-thud.  A few pieces of  putrefied flesh flew up and dropped back down like disgusting splashes of filthy water.  I felt my breakfast come back up into my throat.  I swallowed it back down, shuddering.  Finally my muscles released and I was able to turn to see my savior.

The sun shone on him, making him gleam like a god.  His look was confusing.  Beneath the leather armor and behind the bow stood a Bastog.  He was, well, tiger stock?  Lion stock?  Lion-Tiger?  Lyger?  Who cares, he was a beautiful sight.  He strung his bow over his shoulder.  All he wore on his chest was a leather harness and his legs were covered in leather armor which had seen much wear.  On his back was a quiver which was well stocked with large sheaf arrows.  He was very tall.  Much taller than myself.  I could not have asked for a more perfect specimen.

"Are you alright?"  He asked.  His voice was melodic and almost hypnotizing.

"I... I... I'm... Uh..."  I couldn't even speak.  I was tripping over every word.

"Well, other than that you seem to be physically quite well.  And if you don't mind me saying so, you look very nice, for someone who was almost zombie food.  Actually, I think you look a little tasty myself."  He grinned.

Well, if I had to be killed and eaten, why not by a really sexy Bastog?  "Well, if you must eat me, just let me prepare myself first."  I sighed.  I knew there was no way I was going to out run this one's arrows.

"By the Furlord!  I didn't mean literally!  What I meant was that I find you very cute.  I would never let anything bad happen to you."  He walked over to me.  "You can call me Fuzzy.  Everyone else does."  He extended his paw.

"I'm glad to hear that.  I wasn't really looking forward to being eaten today by anything.  I'm Dusky, and you are super sexy!  I usually don't go for Bastogs, but you are amazing."  I grabbed his paw.  He pulled me in and kissed me.  I melted.  Then suddenly that rotted flesh scent hit me again.  "Can we get away from this corpse?"  I chuckled a little.

"Yeah, let's get out of scent range at least."  He laughed.

So we wandered off in the direction I was heading.  He would occasionally pull lightly on my tail just to remind me that he was there.  My pulse would flutter every time he did that.  My heart raced with the anticipation of what was to come.  As the sun was setting, and it was getting close to time to camp, he came and walked up beside me.  "We should camp soon.  It's getting late."  Fuzzy said, giving me a look that made the butterflies in my stomach take flight.

So we set up camp, ate some dinner and then bedded down for the night.  And what a night it was.  The morning could never have come and I would have been a happy Furgar.

Bear Event or Bare Event?

Over the next few hours, Kuma showed me things that I hadn't even imagined were possible.  Things that I couldn't have thought of in my wildest fantasies.  Guess I really had been sheltered.  Afterward, we cleaned up and he checked for messages on his "computer".  I was still confused about how letters were sent without being carried by a Currier.

Soon enough it was time for the party.  Kuma was introducing me around to his friends.  As it turned out, he also had a partner, Joebear.  They were in, what they called an "open relationship".  This was a new concept for me. I had never heard of such a thing.  It sounded like approved cheating at first.  But once it was explained further I got to understanding that it was actually a mutual decision to allow sexual encounters with others which actually strengthened their emotional bond by ensuring trust and love between the two.  It was obviously not a perfect situation for everybody, but for some it made for a beautiful relationship of mutual love, trust and respect.

So the event started out with everyone just kinda milling around and chatting with each other.  But that wasn't to last, for after a short time there was a little more "activity".  It started with simple kissing and groping.  Then things got a little "hotter" as the bonfire was set ablaze.  There were couples and groups doing unmentionable things.  I stayed with Kuma and Joebear because I felt safest with them.  Not that it wasn't all fun, but it was a little much to take in all at once.

After several hours, things started to die down along with the fire.  The Ursos started making their way to thier separate houses.  Kuma and Joebear invited me to stay the night with them.  They had a huge bed and sandwiched me between them.  It was warm and cozy being stuck between two bears.

I woke in the morning well rested.  We played some before we all got up.  Then we had breakfast and cleaned up and they set me off on my way to the city.  Still a long journey ahead, but now I had some good memories to keep me on my way.

Lions and Tigers and Bears? Nope, just Bears...

So, in the morning I woke with the breaking of the dawn.  I packed up and set off toward the tower.  It was quite a distance away yet, but I would make it easily by midday.  Just as I started off, suddenly a Bastog jumped out of the bushes, right in front of me.  "WHERE'S STEVEN!?"  What was Lilly doing all the way out here?  Had she followed me?

"Um," I responded unsure what to say.  "I haven't seen him..."

"I know he's out here somewhere.  He has my socks.  He was supposed to bring me my socks and now I have to wrap my feet in tissues."  Lilly held up her feet which were, in fact wrapped in a soft, light papery substance.  "If you see him, you tell him to come home right away, then."  She put her foot down and wandered off.

That Bastog was crazier than a loon.  I'm sure she was really nice if you were able to get to know her.  Anyway, I was walking again toward the tower.  The sun had moved quite far in it's morning sojourn when I saw something standing off the side of the road.  As I got closer, it appeared to be a bear.

This was not a normal bear mind you.  It seemed to walk on two legs and use it's front paws as hands, much like the Furgar and the Bastog.  Curiosity overcame me and I ignored that little voice in my head that said, "this might be dangerous".  I walked right up to the "Bear".  He turned to me and looked me up and down.  Then he smiled and said one word.  "WOOF".

"Oh, I don't talk like that."  I replied.  He must have thought I spoke like a dog because of how I look.

"Silly Furgar.  'Woof' is a term of endearment.  It means 'I think you're cute'.  You've obviously never seen an Ursos before.  Totally understandable.  We were created by the Furlord a short time ago.  Well, I guess 'short' is relative.  Anyway, we were created by the Furlord as an experiment.  We don't wander far from the tower at the Furlord's behest.  He isn't there any more and has asked us to upkeep it while he's away.  So, what brings you down this way, anyway?"

"Well, I'm journeying to the cities of men, but I'm exploring along the way.  I never expected to run into anything like you, however.  Thank you for the compliment.  So I guess, 'woof' to you as well.  So, is there a tribe of you or just a few?"  I asked.

"There is a tribe of us.  In fact we are having a party tonight.  A 'bear event' if you will.  Would you like to join us?  My name is Kuma by the way."  Kuma had a very docile tone, but his voice was intriguing.

"Dusk.  Well, Dusky as most people call me.  I would love to come to this party.  So we must not be too far away then since the Furlord doesn't want you to wander."  I felt like a bit of a dork.  I wasn't sure what to say.

"Well Dusky, you sexy little wolf, we are not far.  Follow me and I'll introduce you around."  Kuma said.  There was something about the way he moved that I had a hard time looking away from.  I found that I was really attracted to him.  Well, I'll follow this hot bear then.

We really weren't far.  When we arrived, the village was built with wooden houses and each seemed to have strings running from house to house.  "What's with the strings?"  I asked, rather confused.

Kuma snickered a little.  "Those are wires.  We have invented something called an 'internet' so we can all communicate with each other from these boxes called 'computers'."

Right.  Whatever that was.  Anyway, I'm sure I would see this new magic that allowed them all to communicate.  The tower was huge.  Must have been at least 16 stories high.  Looking up to the top gave me a feeling of vertigo.  I looked down and shook it off.  As we walked through town, lots of Ursos were emerging from their houses.

I realized there was something amiss here.  "Where are all of the females?  Do they only stay inside?"  I quizzed.

Kuma laughed.  "Females?!  There aren't any female Ursos.  That was part of the experiment."

"So, how are more Ursos made?  If you don't procreate, how do you multiply?"  I was so puzzled.

"Well, it seems that every now and then, another one just joins us.  I'm not quite sure where they come from.  Maybe the Furlord just makes more over time?  I'm not sure."  Kuma chuckled.

That was an acceptable explanation.  After all, a God's prerogative is not to be questioned.  So we made it to near the center of town.  "This is an interesting place."  I stated, looking around.

"It's a nice little village.  We have a lot of parties.  Here's my house."  Kuma said, opening the door to one of the houses.  "Wanna come in?"  He smiled and it was beautiful.

"Yes."  I fawned.  So he lead me into his home.  It was not super tidy.  He needed someone like Aunt Morning Glory to come clean it up.  He showed me the "Computer" and attempted to explain it's workings.  I was so confused that I just nodded and agreed with whatever he was saying.

After that, he stopped and stepped over to me.  He grabbed me in his burly arms and kissed me deeply.  I was a bit shocked at first.  This was very forward!  But after a few seconds, I just let it happen and kissed him back.  It was amazing.  I then felt his big paws wandering all over my furry body.  Things were about to get interesting...
